AddressUpdate.com is a premium concierge change-of-address service for people who are moving. We handle two things simultaneously: filing your official USPS change of address and notifying all the companies and organizations you select of your new address.

Instead of spending hours calling or logging into each bank, utility, and subscription individually, you submit once and our team does all the work. Your time is better spent on your move.

No. AddressUpdate.com is an independent, privately operated service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the United States Postal Service.

We file your USPS change of address on your behalf as part of our service. If you only want to file with USPS and not use our company notification service, you can do so for free directly at usps.com.

Filing with USPS only forwards your physical mail for a limited time — it doesn't actually update your address on file at your bank, with your insurance company, or in your subscription accounts. That requires contacting each company individually.

Our service handles both: the USPS filing and contacting 100+ companies directly on your behalf. Most customers save 4–6 hours of tedious phone calls and form-filling.

Our current service is designed for residential address changes. Business address changes often have different requirements depending on business type, state registration, and the specific companies involved.

If you are changing a residential address and your new address happens to be a commercial location, our team will note this and handle it appropriately. Contact us if you have specific business change-of-address needs.

Currently, our service is available for addresses within the 50 United States and US territories. All USPS filings must be for US-based addresses. Company notifications are also limited to US-based organizations.

What you pay and what's included

Our complete change of address package costs $49.90 as a one-time fee. There are no subscriptions, no monthly charges, no upsells, and no hidden fees of any kind.

That $49.90 includes your USPS change of address filing, notifications to all the companies you select, confirmation emails, access to your customer tracking portal, and our 30-day guarantee.

No limit. Your $49.90 fee covers notifications to as many companies as you select from our directory. Whether you select 5 or 50 companies, the price is the same.

We accept all major credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. All payments are processed through NMI with 3D Secure (3DS2) authentication for maximum security.

A valid credit card is required by the USPS for identity verification purposes when filing an address change.

No. Your $49.90 payment is a one-time charge only. We will never charge your card again without your explicit consent. There are no recurring fees, no automatic renewals, and no subscription charges.

No per-company charges. Your flat $49.90 fee covers the USPS filing plus unlimited company notifications from our directory. We do not charge extra per company regardless of how many you select.

How the Process Works

What happens after you submit

Immediately after checkout you will receive a confirmation email with your order number and a summary of your submission. A separate email will be sent with login credentials for your customer portal where you can track your order.

Our processing team is notified of your order and begins working on your USPS filing and company notifications within 1 business day.

Our team uses the official address-change channels each company provides. For most companies this is their online account management system, their dedicated address-change portal, or direct contact with their customer service team. We use whatever official method is most reliable for each organization.

Yes. You can track the status of every company notification in your customer portal. Our team logs updates as they are completed, and you will receive email updates from us as the process progresses.

If we encounter any issues updating a specific company, our team will note it in your portal and reach out to you directly. Some companies require additional verification or authorization from the account holder. We will guide you through any steps needed to resolve this.

Yes. Contact our support team within 30 days of your original submission and we can add additional company notifications at no extra charge. You can also reach out to us via your customer portal.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to update your new address. If we haven't begun processing yet, we can update the address in your order at no charge. If processing has already started, there may be additional work involved — contact us and we'll work with you to resolve it.

How we protect your data

Yes. We take data security very seriously. All data transmissions are protected with 256-bit SSL encryption — the same standard used by major banks. Your information is stored on secure, access-controlled servers.

We collect only the information necessary to process your address change. We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes.

No. We never store your raw card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers. All payment processing is handled by NMI (Network Merchants Inc.), a PCI-compliant payment gateway. We use Collect.js, NMI's hosted payment field technology, which means your card data is tokenized before it ever reaches our server.

Absolutely not. We do not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise share your personal information with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes. Your data is used solely to process your address change request.

We retain your order data for a period necessary to provide our service and meet legal compliance requirements. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting Support@address-update.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Companies & Notifications

Which organizations we can notify

Our directory includes 100+ companies across 8+ categories: banks and credit cards, utilities, insurance, subscriptions, retail and loyalty programs, delivery services, government agencies, and airlines and hotels. We regularly add new companies based on customer requests.

Contact us at Support@address-update.com with the company name and we will do our best to add them and include them in your order. Our directory is constantly expanding based on customer feedback.

Most do. However, some organizations — particularly financial institutions with strict security protocols — may require additional verification directly from the account holder. If this occurs, our team will notify you through your portal and provide guidance on the additional steps needed.

Yes, government agencies including the IRS, Social Security Administration, Medicare, and DMV are included in our directory. The IRS address change involves submitting Form 8822, which our team handles on your behalf. Some government agencies may require your signature, in which case we will provide you with the necessary forms.

USPS & Mail Forwarding

Questions about postal service changes

The USPS change of address creates a mail forwarding order that redirects mail addressed to your old address to your new address. This typically lasts 12 months for first-class mail and 60 days for magazines and periodicals.

Important: Mail forwarding is a temporary safety net. It does not permanently update your address at the companies sending the mail. That's why our company notification service is so valuable alongside the USPS filing.

USPS mail forwarding for a permanent move lasts 12 months for first-class mail (letters, bills, statements). Periodicals (magazines, newspapers) are forwarded for 60 days. After these periods, mail is no longer forwarded. This is another reason why directly updating your address with each company is important.

Yes. We support both permanent and temporary USPS address changes. A temporary change of address is typically for moves lasting 15 days to 6 months. You specify this during our checkout process and we file accordingly with USPS.

Yes. USPS sends a Move Validation Letter (MVL) to both your old address and your new address when a change of address is filed. This is a security measure by USPS to prevent fraudulent address changes. The letter typically arrives within 7–10 days.

Your Account & Portal

Managing your order online

An account is created automatically when you complete your order, using the email address you provide at checkout. You'll receive an email with a link to set your password and access your customer portal. No manual sign-up is required.

Your customer portal shows your order status, notes from our team, a list of companies and their update status, any documents or confirmations we've received on your behalf, and your account information. You can also reset your password and update your profile from the portal.

Use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page at address-update.com/portal. Enter your email address and we'll send you a secure password reset link valid for 60 minutes. If you have trouble, contact our support team and we can re-send your portal access email.

Refunds & Cancellations

Our guarantee and refund process

We offer a 30-day no-questions-asked refund policy. If you are unsatisfied with our service for any reason within 30 days of your order, contact us at Support@address-update.com or call 1-877-359-3693 and we will process a full refund to your original payment method.

No questions asked. No hoops to jump through.

Once we initiate your refund, it typically appears on your statement within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer. Some financial institutions may take up to 2 billing cycles to reflect the credit.

Yes. If you need to cancel your order, contact us as soon as possible. If processing has not yet begun, we will cancel and void your charge immediately.
